WWE has been going through a rough patch for past few years, with decreasing viewership and with the emergence of other popular wrestling and fighting associations. WWE authorities have been trying all they can to get back on track. With the recently concluded WWE Extreme Rules 2018 things are getting heated up for the biggest event of the summers- WWE Summerslam 2018. The Best Sports Website in India – Sports Patrika will cover and bring all the exclusive updates from the WWE Summerslam 2018.
For Fifth time straight WWE Summerslam will take place in Brooklyn Barclays Center on 19th August. Summerslam is often considered as the biggest party of the summers and the second biggest WWE event after Wrestlemania. Summerslam is important as it usually set cards for the biggest main event Wrestlemania and is known for some most noticable moments in WWE’s history.
Although, for past some years Summerslam has also suffered the rough patch of WWE. Fortunately, this year could be different. The probable match cards for this year’s Summerslam looks strong. Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is confirmed to take on Ronda Rousey. Other than that, it will be great to see if the ‘yes’ movement of Daniel Bryan continues as he takes on the Miz. There is an uncertain match coming up for the US title and it could be a triple threat between Jeff Hardy, Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton. WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe is also on the cards.

Here, we will talk about the 5 matches that if happened in the WWE Summerslam 2018 could take the pay-per-view to the next level in terms of viewership and popularity.
5. Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre
The Kingslayer Seth Rollins has been engaged with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre for some time now and with no probable WWE Universal championship shot, he would be looking to get the Intercontinental championship title back from Ziggler. But Drew McIntyre won’t let him touch Dolph, so WWE could be thinking why not go with that.
This could be an interesting match card as we saw Rollins and McIntyre in an intense staredown of Monday Night Raw. With no title shot for both of them in the near future, it would be best to let them continue with their beefing and make it official.
Although, the result could be an obvious one. More power to Drew McIntyre as we all know heels doesn’t usually goes out in the first try. But the match is going to be awesome as both these guys are brilliant performers. This match could further enhance McIntyre’s credibility as a top heel for now and that could work great to set him against Brock Lesnar for Universal Championship in the future, if WWE is trying to do that.
4. Sasha Banks vs Bayley
This is one match that i would pay to watch. Sasha Banks vs Bayley tension has been going on for quite a long time now. Raw manager Kurt Angle has tried everything from therapies to progressive sessions to make them friends again. But that just doesn’t seem to work. Actually, we wouldn’t want them to be friends. We need them to get in the ring and sort the things their with something big on stake.
Sasha Banks and Bayley always had an intense history between them. On Monday, Kurt Angle declared that if they can’t be friends, he will trade them to Smack Down. It is not official but things would get much intense if the officials made it a Loser leaves Raw match. Smack Down on the other hand is in desperate need of a strong heel in the women’s division unless anyone from Charlotte, Asuka or Becky Lynch decided to fill the void. Sasha Banks is just the girl.
It is certain that Charlotte Flair is going to the Raw sooner or later to face Ronda Rousey as that would be the watch everyone wanna watch. It would be wise to do that early by trading Charlotte for Sasha.
3. B Team vs Authors of Pain
B Team came as Jokers made us laugh but ultimately somehow won the Raw Tag Team Championship. Was unexpected but that did happened. Not it is time for WWE to fix this fluke. Their sick immitation as tag team champions isn’t seems to be working and we all want new champions. Although, the former champions Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy couldn’t stand upto the expectations, atleast they were far better than the B Team.
Authors of Pain comes to the rescue. They have made quite an impression in WWE Raw lately. Their recent appearances have proved their crediblilty and people seems to be enjoying them. And with no other tag team seems serious and up for the job, it is finally time to put the Authors of Pain in the championship picture.
It is time we get the new tag team champions and bring some credibility to the Raw Tag Team title. Also, it will be fun to watch the B Team getting crushed by the Authors of Pain.
2. Triple Threat Match (New Day, The Sanity & Bludgeon Brothers)
Everybody loves Triple Threat Matches. And why not? Everyone seems to loves the chaos that they create. Although, the Triple Threat Match in Wrestlemania was a flaw and badly performed, this one could really make up for it.
With the New Day and Sanity already beefing with each other, it would be great to add the Bludgeon Brothers and make it official for the Summerslam. Currenlty Bludgeon Brothers does not have a serious fued with anyone. Why not include them to the New Day and The Sanity fued somehow. People seem to like the destruction when 6 men collides.
Even if the storyline doesn’t makes a lot of sense in itself, it would be pretty awesome to watch some chaos in the Biggest event of the Summer.
1. Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley vs Roman Reigns ( WWE Universal title)
Let’s talk about the main event which most probably would include Brock Lesnar and his WWE universal championship. But who should Brock fight with now?
Apart from so many defeats, Roman Reigns still remains in the title shot. Brock has already defeated him in three main events so no one would wanna watch another rematch.
The other possible contender, Bobby Lashley seems to settle down now after the events of the Extreme Rules.
So, the best possible option remained now is to put these three guys together in the ring, make it official and let the top three WWE Superstars right now decide who is the best themselves.
In recent years, the Best championship title matches we have seen of Brock are against multiple opponents like his triple threat matches at the 2015 Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 2015 and the fatal 4 way match at Summerslam 2017, last year.
Still, it is not very likely to happen but if it does this would please every WWE fan to their core. If Brock still comes out victouious, then there is Braun Strowman to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and pin him down and become the WWE Universal Champion.
