Conor “The Notorious” McGregor is making headlines again as he is all set to take on the defending lightweight UFC champion Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov in the main event of the UFC 229 on October 6, 2018 at the Las Vegas’s T-Arena. This will be Conor McGregor’s comeback to the octagon after a long long time and fans are eagerly waiting for his arrival in the MMA world.
The last fight we saw of McGregor was against the undisputed World lightweight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather last year in August 2017. Conor McGregor comeback storyline is fueled with the fact that he is fighting for the UFC lightweight title that he never lost in the first place. The fight is also making headlines as both these fighters have no respect for each other.
The beef between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor begin with the Notorious’s rampage on Khabib’s bus a day before UFC 223, later the undisputed Russian went on to becoming the UFC lightweight champion after an uneven decision by the judges following a five-round fight against the extremely late replacement Al Laquinta and that pushed Khabib to an unbelievable 26-0 in probably the most tough division of MMA.
The beef started by McGregor brawled over the fact that Conor actually never lost the lightweight title and now both fighters are ready to set the scores in the octagon . Considering how lethal both these fighters are, this bout is something UFC wouldn’t wanna miss.
UFC has cleverly planned the C0-Main event of the UFC 229 and it seems more like an insurance that the main event goes on, no matter what. Former Lightweight champions Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis are officially on UFC 229 co-main event cards and can be used as a replacement for the main event match between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, in case anyone sustains any injury prior to match.
A heavyweight showdown between Derrick Lewis and Alexander Volkov was originally on the co-main event card but was bumped to put Tony vs Anthony match.
The UFC has already announced the official ticket prices of this match to take place in T-Mobile Arena of Las Vegas. Most UFC fans would be headlining straight to Vegas as they wouldn’t wanna miss this epic match at all. The UFC 229 tickets prices has been disclosed by the ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.
UFC just officially announced the ticket prices for the Khabib vs. McGregor card on Oct. 6, which go on sale this week: $2,505, $2,005, $1,505, $1,005, $755, $555, $405, $355, $305, $255, $205.
