List of IPL 2020 Retained and Released Players

All right, the Indian Premier League is approaching for the next VIVO IPL T20 tournament in 2020, and the preparation for VIVO IPL 2020 has been started from Friday 15th November 2019 all teams have released the list of retained and released players in their squad. The final auction of VIVO IPL 2020 will be held on 19th December 2019, before the auction all teams are preparing to build a new strong squad for the upcoming season.

The franchise decided to make some important changes in their team squad, each team have released weak link of their squad and looking forward to adding some fresh players in the squad, many teams exchange the players with other franchise by the trading window. Mumbai Indians (MI) Retained and Released Players List 2020

  • Mumbai Indians released their 10 players from the last squad.
  • They retained 15-star players of their teams like Rohit Sharma, Pollard, De Kock, Pandya brothers, Bumrah, Malinga and others Key Players.
  • They also bought some players by the trading window from Rajasthan and Delhi franchise
  • Mumbai have Rs. 13.05 crore remaining for the auction.

  • CSK released five players from their last squad.
  • Released players are- Sam Billings, Devid Willey, Mohit Sharma, Chaitanya Bishnoi and Dhruv Shorey.

  • Sunrisers Hyderabad Released only five players from their last squad.

  • Rajasthan Royals & KKR are the other teams after RCB who have released maximum players from their squad.
  • RR released 11 players from their last squad including 4 overseas players.
  • They also bought Mayak Markande from Mumbai Indians and Ankit Rajpoot from Kings XI Punjab by the trading window.
  • They also traded their players with other teams they traded Kulkarni, Gowtham and Ajinkya Rahane was the biggest trade from their squad.

  • Delhi Capitals have released Nine players including some star players like Colin Munro, Chris Morris, Ingram and Hanuma Vihari.
  • But they also retained their key players like Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Lamichhane, Ishant Sharm, Rabada, Rishab Pant and many others.
