The defending champions Chennai Super Kings has retained most of their last year’s squad and have bought 2 new players Mohit Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The newly formed Delhi team Delhi Captains have spent over 17 crores from their pocket to buy 10 new players. Kings XI Punjab has spent Rs 32 crore to add 13 new players to their squad.

Kolkata Knight Riders spent Rs 9 Crore to buy 8 new players. Mumbai Indians spent Rs 7.60 Crore on 6 new players. Rajasthan Royals made the joint costliest purchase of Rs 8.4 Crore in form of Jaydev Unadkat. They also bought 8 other players.

Royal Challengers Bangalore spent 16.35 Crore and bought 9 players including the West Indian Shimron Hetmyer. Sunrisers Hyderabad spent over a little 4 crore and bought 3 world class batsmen – Jonny Bairstow, Wriddhiman Saha, Martin Guptill.
