According to a BCCI official, “The 2019 IPL will be played between March 29 and May 19,”23 March 2019 is the starting date of Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Lok Sabha elections will be conducted next year in India and that means IPL might have to shift their venue to some other place. Even in the year 2009 and 2014, due to Lok Sabha elections, the IPL was held outside India.

In 2009, the IPL was held in South Africa while in 2014, the first 19 days games were played in the UAE. This year too the venue for the IPL 2019 is South Africa so far as confirmed.
